My client school is an 'Outstanding' Primary school based in North London. They are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Psychology graduate to join their SEN team as an SEN Teaching Assistant. This role would really suit a graduate who is looking to gain school experience within an inner city mainstream school. If you are a future teacher or you wish to pursue a career in Educational Psychology this could be the perfect role for you! The role will see you supporting pupils with needs such as Autism (ASD) and associated difficulties such speech and language.

This SEN teaching assistant role is a fantastic opportunity for a bright and ambitious Psychology Graduate looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity. You can gain valuable experience with SEN pupils, supporting children on the autistic spectrum and with associated difficulties including Speech and Language. The ideal candidate will be a Graduate from a leading University, having a keen interest in working with SEN pupils and with the intention of becoming a teacher or an Educational Psychologist or teacher. To be an SEN Teaching Assistant you will need to remain calm under pressure, show patience and have a caring and nurturing personality.


This SEN Teaching Assistant role is a full-time position within an 'Outstanding' inner London mainstream Primary school. The school is very inclusive, and you will be joining a well-established Support team to offer pupils with a range of difficulties much needed support. You will be tasked with helping all children to engage with the curriculum, offering help and support. This SEN Teaching Assistant is required immediately and will be contracted until the end of the school year. This will give you plenty of time to get a great understanding of school life and prepare you for your future teaching or educational psychology career.


Located within North London, the school is a short walk from an underground and an over ground station. Facilities in the school are fantastic! With lots of space and a large ICT suite and library, resources for children are ample! The school believes in growing talent from within and previous SEN Teaching Assistants have often successfully gone on to train as teachers at the school.
