There is now a vacancy for a NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / IT SALES EXECUTIVE to join a leading IT services company in Medway. As NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / IT SALES EXECUTIVE you will be offered a salary of c£27k basic, OTE up to £37k (uncapped). You will be joining a well-established and expanding organisation that can offer excellent prospects for career development. The focus is on new business, although the IT Sales Executive may also be handling existing accounts. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will progress their career to Account Manager level within an 18-24 month period. Duties and Responsibilities: • Initially the role is predominantly office-based with field sales meetings nationally • You will be focused on new business generation from outbound calling • Gain and develop national accounts • Strengthen the company position within established sectors, and break into less developed sectors • Retain and develop all accounts won • Arrange and run meetings • Produce formal written quotes and tender responses • Role gradually encompasses more account management as clients are won and retained • Manage long-term sales cycles rather than quick turnarounds Candidate Requirements: • Strong track record in sales and business development • Experience of business-to-business sales and experience of managing the whole cycle – long-term sales rather than quick turnarounds • Able to quickly learn and assimilate technical industry knowledge • Good level of education – ideally degree or A-level qualified, although compensating experience will be considered
